Celebrating 100 Years of International Women’s Day: Women’s Voices 2011 – Glamorgan

Posted on: 3 February 2011

Equal access to education, training and science and technology: Pathway to decent work for women.

2011 marks the centenary of International Women’s Day (IWD), first organised in 1911 by German women’s suffrage campaigner Clara Zetkin. The purpose of the day was to campaign on behalf of women around the world to get voting rights. Since then International Women’s Day has successfully campaigned about a variety of issues affecting women. To celebrate this centenary Glamorgan Business School will be holding a week of events in March 2011.
