Women only sessions to mark International Women’s Day in Trafford

Women across Trafford are being encouraged to try something new as part of this year’s International Women’s Day celebrations on Tuesday 8 March.

A number of female only classes and activities are being held throughout the day to give women the chance to try something new from spinning to Nordic walking:

Stretford Leisure Centre
* Women only Gym Inductions/fitness testing; 10am – 4pm
* Dance Syndrome – 10:00-10:30
* Stretch Class; 11:00 – 11:30
* Women only Health Walk 11am
* Nordic Health Walk 1pm
* Swim – small pool 12:00 – 13:00
* Spinning; 14:00 – 14:30
* Swimming; 19:00 – 20:00

Sale Leisure Centre
* Pilates; 11:00 – 12:00
* Spinning; 12:30 – 13:00

Trafford Wheelers will also be available throughout the day.

As part of the event at Stretford Leisure Centre there will also be a number of organisations available to give advice and support for women attending the event including VCAT, the Council’s revenue and benefits team, women’s aid and many more.

There will also be healthy eating cookery demonstrations throughout the day at 10.30, midday, 1.30 and 3pm to provide some tasty inspiration for healthy meals including homemade soup, frittatas and even apple scones. And if you want some pampering Relaxing retreats, who are based at the leisure centre, will be offering taster sessions, including Indian head massage.

There is also the chance for one attendee to win a one year leisure pass for two adults and two children as part of a prize draw which also includes a prize from Daytona Manchester and Kellogg’s have also donated goodies to be given out on the day.

The event runs from 9.30am – 4pm at Stretford Leisure Centre.
